JA 8 B HISTORY: Nov 28th to Dec 2nd

This week we will look at the end of World War II and V-J Day. We will look at the development of the atomic bomb and its use on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. Why did the new President, Truman decide to use it to end the conflict? What were the short and long term effects of using them?< Monday: The bombs development and why President Truman decided to use this basically untested new wearpon to force Japan to surrender.

Tuesday: The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Readings and videos.

Wednesday - Friday: You will create a Glogster to show how the Atomic bomb brought about V-J Day and its impact.
